Museum Montone San Francesco

The Museum Montone San Francesco, housed in the Church of San Francesco, consists of the MuMO Art Gallery and the Multimedia Museum “The places of Braccio Fortebraccio” –  a multimedia journey to discover the places of Braccio. The museum is located in the church and former convent of San Francesco. From a monumental cloister, visitors can access the church interior, where traces of frescoes from the 14th to 16th centuries are preserved. Among the most prestigious works housed in the Art Gallery are the 13th-century wooden sculpture group representing the Deposition and the gonfalone (banner) by Bartolomeo Caporali depicting the Madonna della Misericordia (Madonna of Mercy).
